எதிர்வரும் பாராளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் போட்டியிட முன்னாள் ஜனாதிபதி மஹிந்த ராஜபக்ஷவிற்கு ஐக்கிய மக்கள் சுதந்திர முன்னணியில் அனுமதி அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
நேற்று இரவு இடம்பெற்ற ஐக்கிய மக்கள் சுதந்திர முன்னணி கட்சித் தலைவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் இதற்கு இணக்கம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளதாக ஐக்கிய மக்கள் சுதந்திர முன்னணியின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் சுசில் பிரேமஜயந்தவின் கையொப்பத்தில் விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Who wants a leader of UNP to be taken for a ride at this rate ? Why does Sirisena
have to try this harder to rejuvenate his party which has been in power now well over twenty years, riding on UNP's back ? I think it is time people elect an alternative
