மத சுதந்திரத்திற்கு இடையூறா..? உடனடியாக தொடர்புகொள்ளுமாறு பொலிஸார் அறிவுரை

மத சுதந்திற்கு இடையூறு ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் ஏதேனும் சம்பவங்கள் இடம்பெறுமாயின் அது குறித்து உடன் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க பொலிஸ் தலைமையகத்தில் விசேட பிரிவு ஒன்று ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

இலங்கையில் வெவ்வேறு மதங்களை பின்பற்றும் மக்கள் வாழ்வதாகவும், மத ஸ்தலங்களில் நிகழும் சம்பவங்கள் தொடர்பில் இனி முறைப்பாடுகள் செய்ய முடியும் எனவும் பொலிஸ் ஊடகப் பேச்சாளர் அலுவலகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. 

இந்த விசேட பிரிவு 2013.02.10 காலை 8 மணி தொடக்கம் 24 மணிநேரங்களும் செயற்படும் என அந்த அலுவலகம் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது. 

எனவே இனி மத ஸ்தலங்களில் அல்லது மதம் குறித்து ஏற்படும் இடையூறுகள் தொடர்பில் பொது மக்கள் 0113182904 மற்றும் 0113188753 ஆகிய தொலைபேசி இலக்கங்களிற்கும் 0112423944 என்ற தொலைநகல் இலக்கத்திற்கும் முறைப்பாடு செய்யலாம் என பொலிஸ் ஊடகப் பேச்சாளர் அலுவலகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

The Police Department is set to launch a special operations unit handle complaints regarding religious incidents in the country, in the wake of a visible increase of such incidents.

Steps were taken to establish the unit in order to prevent the difficulties faced when reporting certain incidents against religions to police stations, police spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody said.

He stated that the unit will commence around-the-clock operations from tomorrow (09) and that any complaints regarding disturbances or troubles involving a certain religion can be informed to the special operations unit via the 24-hour hotlines - 0113 182 904, 0113 188 75 and fax number: 0112 423 944.
