சோனக வியாபாரிகளே, இந்த ஹராமி வேலையைச் செய்யாதீர்கள்..!

ராஜகிரிய தோ்தல் ஆணைக்குழு அலுவலகத்திற்கு ஒரு தேவைக்காக சென்று விட்டு பகல் உணவுக்காாக ராஜகிரிய நகரில் உள்ள உணவகம் ஒன்றிற்கு சென்றேன்.
கவா்ச்சிகரமான பெயா்ப்பலகையில் Dineway என்று குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தார்கள். கொழும்பில் ஹோட்டல்கள் பேக்கரிகள் நடாத்தும் மத்திய மாகாண முஸ்லிம்களின் ஒரு ஹோட்டல் என்பது அவா்களின் பேச்சிலிருந்து புரிந்தது.
நேரம் ஒரு மணியை நெருங்கியிருந்தது.
சோறு சாப்பிடலாம் என்ற முடிவில் ஓடா் செய்தேன்.அதுவும் மீன் சாப்பாடு!
சோறு கறிகள் நிரம்பிய ஒரு பீங்கானை ஊழியா் கொண்டு வந்து மேசையில் வைத்தார். சோறு இளம் சூடாக இருந்தது. மீன் துண்டு ஏதோ தண்ணீரில் கழுவி எடுத்தால் போல வெறுமையாக வௌவௌரேன்று இருந்தது. சோறை சாப்பிட்டுக்கொண்டே மீனில் கையை வைத்து ஒரு சிறிய துண்டை உடைத்தேன்.
மீன் துண்டு எவரெஸ்ட் மலை உச்சியைத் தொட்டது போல “சில்“லென்று இருந்தது.
உடைத்த மீன் துண்டிலிருந்து தண்ணீா் துளிா்விட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தது.
மரக்கறி ஒன்றில் கையை வைத்தேன். அதுவும் அதே ரகம். ஓாிரு தினங்கள் குளிா்சாதனப் பெட்டியில் இரண்டும் குடியிருந்திருக்கின்றன.
இரண்டையும் குளிா்சாதனப் பெட்டியில் வைத்து விட்டு மீண்டும் “ரீகன்டிஷன்” பண்ணி எடுத்திருப்பது புாிந்தது.
ஓாிரு நாட்களுக்கு முன்னா் சமைத்து விற்பனையாகாமல் மிகுதியானவற்றை மீண்டும் சூடேற்றி வாடிக்கையாளா்களுக்கு மனச்சாட்சியின்றி பாிமாறும் கேடுகெட்ட பழக்கம் இந்த #சோனக_சோறு #வியாபாரிகளுக்குத்தான் இருக்கிறது.
ஹோட்டல் ஊழியரை அழைத்து இந்த மீனை கொஞ்சம் சாப்பிட்டுப் பாருங்கள் என்றேன்.
களவு கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டதே! என்ற குற்ற உணா்வு அவரது முகத்தில் தொிந்தது. இது பகல் சமைத்த கறிதான் னெ்று ஒரு பொய்யை போட்டு வைத்தார்.
பசி ஒரு பக்கம். சாப்பிட்டது பாதி, சாப்பிடாதது பாதி!
இந்த மோசடிக் காரா்களை நினைத்து கோபம் கோபமாக வந்தது.
“யோகட்” ஒன்றை சாப்பிட்டு விட்டு கணக்கை கேட்டேன்.
175.00 ரூபாய் என்று “பில்” வந்தது. பணத்தை காசாளாிடம் கொடுத்து விட்டு அவாிடம் கூறினேன்.
“பழைய மீன் கறியை பதப்படுத்தி மீண்டும் மீண்டும் விற்பனை செய்யும் உங்கள் மோசடியை உங்கள் மீன் கறி காட்டிக் கொடுத்து விட்டது. தயவு செய்து அந்த மீன் கறியை அப்புறப்படுத்துங்கள்” என்றேன்.
அப்படியா..? என்று அசடு வழிய கேட்டு விட்டு இருக்கையில் இருந்து எழுந்து மீன் கறி வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் மினுமினுப்பான எவா் சில்வா் பாத்திரங்களை தனது தாடியை தடவிக்கொண்டே எட்டிப்பார்த்தார் அந்த ஏமாற்று ஆசாமி!
This type of trick happened to me with ..Kottu rotti..one night I was too hungry and went to buy some Kottu from one small restaurant and he gave me old kottu ..

ReplyDeleteஏதோ ஒரு நாய் செய்ததற்காக ஒட்டு மொத்த சோனக இனத்தையும் சாடுவது இஸ்லாத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேறிய ஒரு பிரிவின் பண்பு. மாற்றிக்கொள்ளுங்கள் உங்கள் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக கைகாட்டும் பழக்கத்தை!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI too have faced a similar situation from a Muslim hotel in Minuwangoda.(on the way to Airport). I asked for rice kottu. Waiter brought it but the rice was already stale. I could not eat it. I asked the waiter to check the rice. He then took it away. I just had a cup of tea and left from that hotel. I told the cashier don't cheat people.

It's better not to depend on hotel food, better to bring required food slong prepared at home. This is my practice.

ReplyDeleteIt is not right to paint all the Muslim restaurants with the same brush! This is a very common practice by Restaurants in different levels, be it Muslim owned or otherwise. If you come across such a situation, please inform the Public health officials so that proper action could be taken against these owners. Highlighting on social media is also a good option and will be a good deterrent to others!
ReplyDeleteI too had a similar experience. Very recently (Sept 2018) in Maradana (Symonds Road), where I had ordered for full 2 parcel (Rs 780/=) chicken string hoppers kothu. I received two normal parcels without the chicken not the value for the money. Upon reaching home only we found the malpractices carrying by these hotels.
ReplyDeleteIt is shame for the community which has to pay prices for the wrongdoings perpetrated by the a very few so called Muslims who have nothing to do with Islam or Quranic teachings. Further none of these restaurant owners apologise for the mistakes they do, while they are adamant claiming that they are right which prompt to many a wrong notions against the Muslim Community.
