JMA (annual general meeting)

JMA held their AGM (annual general meeting) in SLMCC Harrow on 17th February 2013. Previously, this AGM had been cancelled twice due to the treacherous weather conditions in the UK.  Around 70 people came to the AGM. 

At the AGM, there was a handing over of the office to the newly elected committee members. The president of JMA is M.M Gias. 

Additionally one of our members resigned. One was Brother Fazil Abdul Gaffoor Mohamed, who decided to take some time off from JMA. He was a very valuable, long-time member, who had been working for JMA since its official creation in 2002. He worked very hard as the secretary for JMA- his hard work and dedication as a member of the JMA team will be truly missed.

Furthermore at the AGM there was a review of the past year, the president’s speech, a financial report, and speeches from Sri Lanka via Skype from: MP. D. Devananda, Sufyan Moulawi, Lawyer Rameez LLB and JTM Niyas - in addition to a review of JMA itself: the past, the present and future. Lunch and refreshments were also served.

We are pleased with what has been accomplished and we hope that more people support our charity in the future.
