I'm really sorry to hear these cries from our Sisters and brothers in Islam. So pathetic to see these crying voices from Sri Lankan Muslim community. Hundreds of Muslim youths and many of them are students have been detained on suspicion of supporting or collaborating with Zahran and co. This so called Zahran and cohort are nothing but an agent for terrorists groups. Entire Muslim community rejected them and condemn them.. yet, to detain these innocent youths without any legal justification or any evidence for their involvement is not good at all for Sri Lanka and for its legal tradition. Sri Lankan judiciary has been functioning impartially for the 70 years. Many of these youths are detained without valid reasons. All what we can say about them is they are 100% innocent. Many of them and yet, there may be some with Zahran's connection but not all. They have been brain washed by some fanatics. some of these fanatics groups are now big mouths in Sri Lanka and they are giving false information about our brothers and Sisters. Some of these youth may have been detained on false information given by some radical groups. They must fear Allah. what can do for this pathetic situation. We must fear Allah that committing injustice, creating fear in families, and giving false information about others are grave crimes in Islam. Allah will punish all those criminals for spreading fitna in our community. A peaceful Sri Lankan community for hundreds of years has to go through all these trouble because of a few people. Something has gone wrong in our teaching of Islam. All clerics from Salafi groups and Tablighi groups must understand this before they talk about Islam. They must understand the context and social reality of our country before they preach Islam as they read the texts. that has been a big issue in spreading Islam of their version. They too should take some responsibility for the suffering of these youths in these detention centre. secondly, our community does not have enough brave people to talk about these injustice. Where are all lawyers and solicitors? 22Muslim MPs, do not have time to talk about these injustices. only some of them are good enough to speak about this. they do not need to speak for any convicted people or any one connected with Zahran groups but many innocent have been detained if they do not speak for those innocent people now When will they do it? Now, these crooks Muslim MPs are fighting to secure their places and some of them have no any sense of commitment for Muslim community. They are just working for their personal interest? they accumulate wealth and money for their personal interests. So bad to see some clerics have been hired for them to speak out? Moreover, our clerics and academic community too divided in many camps and groups. they are keen to look after their group's people and members. some of them do not care about others? We must master the arts of living among Non-Muslim community. We must educate our next generation how to respect others and their way of life as we expect from them to respect our faith and our way of life. Moderate Islamic groups too must take some responsibility and reconsider their position in dawa works. They must review their work in our context, we have been given freedom and liberty to practice our religion and we must appreciate people in Sri Lanka for their kindness and love and affection. Muslim community must make some radical change in its religious education, in its dawa work and in its connection with wider community and in its interaction with them all.
