மாடு வெட்டுவதை ஐந்து வருடங்களுக்கு இலங்கையில் தடை செய்தால் சிங்கவர்களுக்கும் தமிழர்களுக்கும் ஒரு இலட்சம் கோடி (1,000,000,000,000) அதாவது அயிரம் பில்லியன் ரூபா நஷ்டம்.
மாட்டிரைச்சி சாப்பிடும் மக்களில் முஸ்லிம்கள் வெறும் ஐந்து வீதத்திற்கும் குறைவானவர்களே உள்ளனர். மக்கள் தொகையில் 50% மானவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டால் கூட இதுதான் உண்மை.
அது சரி. இன்னொரு கோணத்தில் பார்ப்போம்.
இறைச்சிக்காக வெட்டப்படும் மாடுகள் 99% மாவைகள் காளை மாடுகளே. காளை மாடுகளால் வேறு பயன்கள் இல்லை.
முன்பு வண்டி இழுத்தது. வயலை உழுதது.
இவைகள் இயந்திரமயமாகி விட்டதால் காளைகளை பயன் படுத்துவதில்லை.
இறைச்சிக்காக வெட்டுவதையும் அரசு தடை செய்து விட்டால். எந்தப்பயனும் இல்லாத காளைகளை பல ஆயிரங்களை செலவு செய்து யாராவது வளர்ப்பார்களா?
100 ரூபாக்குக்கூட விற்க முடியாத காளை மாட்டை யார் பல ஆயிரங்களை செலவு செய்து வளர்ப்பார்கள், பட்டிகள் அமைத்து பராமரிப்பார்கள்?
அப்படியானால் பிறக்கும் காளை மாட்டுக் கண்றுக்குட்டிகளை என்ன செய்வது? கொண்றுவிட வேண்டும் அல்லது வீதியில் அனாதரவாக விட்டுவிட வேண்டும்.
இதற்கு அரசாங்கம் அனுமதிக்குமா?
அதுவும் சரிதான். இன்னொரு பக்கத்தையும் பார்ப்போம்.
ஒரு மாட்டுக்கு ஒரு நாளைக்கு 50 லீட்டர் தண்ணீரும் 50 கிலோ உணவும் தேவை. ஐந்து வருடங்களுக்கு ஒரு கோடி மாடுகளுக்கு 50 கோடி லீட்டர் தண்ணீரும் 50 கோடி கிலோ உணவும் தேவைப்படும். இவற்றை யார் அவைகளுக்கு வழங்குவார்கள்?
பத்து வருடங்களுக்கு மாடு அருப்பதை தடை செய்தால் இலங்கையில் மக்கள் தொகையை விட கட்டாக்காளி மாடுகளின் தொகை அதிகரித்து விடும்.
இந்த கூலைகளுக்கு இதெல்லாம் புரிந்தால் நாடு நல்லா வந்திருமே
ReplyDeleteBeef is not a must for us and it is one of the food commodities among many. We will stop eating of beef and we can see the consequences within a very short period. One step further we can go to stop slaughtering of animals by legitimate. We are very much sure that we are not going to be the losers.
ReplyDeleteஇலங்கையில் சைவ சமயத்தவர்கள் கிடையாது தங்களை உயர்சாதி என்று கூறி சாதி வெறியை ஊட்டிய சைவக் கூட்டம் பிரபாகரனின் வருகைக்குப் பின் அழிந்து விட்டது பிரபாகரன் மறைவுக்குப் பின்னர் மீண்டும் தலையெடுக்கும் இவர்களை தமிழ் மக்கள் அடையாளம் கண்டு விரட்ட வேண்டும். இவர்கள் வளர்ந்தால் ஒரு கோயில் களிலும் போக முடியாமல் போய்விடும்.

ReplyDeleteIt is mentioned in Manu Smruti, the law book of Hindus, in chapter 5 verse 30
“The eater who eats the flesh of those to be eaten does nothing bad, even if he does it day after day, for God himself created some to be eaten and some to be eater.”
Again next verse of Manu Smruti, that is, chapter 5 verse 31 says
“Eating meat is right for the sacrifice, this is traditionally known as a rule of the gods.”
Further in Manu Smruti chapter 5 verse 39 and 40 says
Once a vegetarian argued his case by saying that plants only have two or three senses while the animals have five senses. Therefore killing a plant is a lesser crime than killing an animal. Suppose your brother is born deaf and dumb and has two senses less as compared to other human beings. He becomes mature and someone murders him. Would you ask the judge to give the murderer a lesser punishment because your brother has two senses less? In fact you would say that he has killed a masoom, an innocent person, and the judge should give the murderer a greater punishment.
Islam enjoins mercy and compassion for all living creatures. At the same time Islam maintains that Allah has created the earth and its wondrous flora and fauna for the benefit of mankind. It is upto mankind to use every resource in this world judiciously, as a niyamat (Divine blessing) and amanat (trust) from Allah.
