நீர்கொழும்பு, மினுவங்கொட மக்களுக்கான அவசர எச்சரிக்கை

அத்தனகலு ஓய பெருக்கெடுத்துள்ள நிலையில் தற்போது அது வௌ்ள அபாய நிலையை அடைந்துள்ளதாக அனர்த்த முகாமைத்துவ மத்திய நிலையம் அறிவித்துள்ளது. 

இதனால் நீர்கொழும்பு, ஜா-எல, கட்டான, மினுவங்கொட, கம்பஹா, அத்தனகல்ல பகுதிகளில் வாழும் மக்களை அவதானமாக இருக்குமாறும் அனர்த்த முகாமைத்துவ மத்திய நிலையம் அறிவித்துள்ளது. 

இதேவேளை, மா ஓயவின் நீர் மட்டம் வௌ்ள அபாய நிலையை அடைந்துள்ளதாகவும் இதனால் படல்கம மற்றும் கிரிஉள்ள பகுதிகளில் வசிக்கும் பொது மக்களை அவதானமாக இருக்குமாறும் அனர்த்த முகாமைத்துவ மத்திய நிலையம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளது.

The water level of Attanagalu Oya is reaching a major flood level, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) announced a short while ago.

Therefore the DMC requested communities in Negombo, JaEla, Katana, Minuwangoda, Gampaha and  Attanagalla areas to be cautious.

Meanwhile, people in downstream areas in Badalgama & Giriulla are requested to be vigilant as the water level in Maa Oya was reaching a minor flood level, the DMC said.

Heavy pre-monsoon rains which continued in the country from May 20, have killed at least sixteen people, and more than 130,000 people are affected in 20 District as of today (25).
