The Govt. of Sri Lanka failed to protect this Mosque from violent attacks thereby depriving the Muslims of exercising their religious rights. Therefore the Govt. is responsible to restore the Mosque to enable the Muslims to exercise their rights.
Let the Ministry of Islamic affair take maximum assistance from the government, who is responsible for the safety of public properties of this country. Once government has allocate fund as per the evaluation of destruction, Then we as brothers can put our fund to finish it fully.
If government comes to know, we will fix our loses, they will keep silent.. BUT government has full responsibility to rebuild this masjid.
Why ? Did Government Refuse to do so ?
Minister Haleem should take care this issue first and give the feedback of the government before we proceed.
It is a simple matter for our community to rebuild the damaged Masjids. As brother Marzook said, it is the Government's responsibility to protect the rights of every citizen and we have to force the Government to rebuild the damaged Masjids. We should channel our funds to help the affected families to restart their livelihoods!
