World War III predictions:

Predictions are not always true. Humanity cannot predict future. The future of humanity is in the hands of God.  Yet, some political experts predict that events that take place these days may lead to a war between East and West.  We like or not humanity lives in a crucial juncture in human history today and clouds of wars are surrounding it from all sides.

The unfolding events in Middle East have made some people to believe that these events may lead to WW III. It is believed that “cat and mouse of the cold war” game has already started underneath of all these events that we have been witnessing in recent time in Middle East and Ukraine. It is reported that Russia is alarmingly worried with NATO expansion to include former Soviet countries. Moreover, Russia was alarmed with NATO nations’ determination to dislodge B. Assad from power in Syria. Russia wants Assad stays in power to create its power base in the Middle East. Because of this Russia has been defending Assad with its all military and economic powers. For the last five years, Russia has been spending a lot of money in Syria and it has been sending its weapons and military asserts to defend Assad.  

   Russia and western nations all agreed that ISIS is a common threat to the humanity. All agree that ISIS must be defeated. Western nations want to form an international coalition with Russia to defeat ISIS and yet, the underneath all this political rhetoric, there is a political hierocracy between West and East, between Russia and western nations.  It is claimed that ISIS is a proxy terror group created by a third party to make this chaos in Middle East. There are some hidden interior motives behind the creation of ISIS at this time in the Middle East and yet, Russia and Nato want to destroy them. Paris attack further justifies such claim. ISIS is an excuse for all these superpowers to wage war in the world. Whatever justification they give to this ongoing war on ISIS, underneath of it, Russia and West are playing a dangerous war game. 

   While British government is debating to fight ISIS alongside Russia it is reported that “A French maritime petrol was operating off Scotland, hunting a Russian submarine” (Peter Hennessy and James Jinks. London Evening Standard, p.17, 26-11-2015). David Cameron immediately announced billions for defence hardware.  British cabinet immediately made its defence review and it has planned its defence allocation by billions while cutting its public expenditure. This shows how grave is the situation between East and West today. Whilst this is going on, Russia is expanding its military forces (its conventional and nuclear forces). It is reported that “Russian Navy is constructing new advance submarines “(Peter Hennessy and James Jinks, The Silent Deep).

    Defence experts Peter Hennessy and James Jinks describes so beautifully this paradoxical and ironical situation between Russia and Western nations. They observe that “as British government prepares to co-operate with Russia in the skies above Syria, the underwater game of cat and mouse between Royal Navy and Russian submarines that characterised much of the Cold War is continuing” (Peter Hennessy and James Jinks. London Evening Standard, p.17, 26-11-2015).

 It may look that ISIS is the root cause of current threat to the world peace and yet, cold war mentality between west and East still exist. The old day rivalry and hostility between Russia and West have not gone away. Any small incident such as shooting down of Russian fighter jet by Turkey could spark a greater war between Russia and NATO nations. Series of events like this will eventually lead to uncertainty in the world.  We all know what type of weapons these superpowers have got today. They have weapons to wipe out humanity within weeks if not within days. 

  May God forbid that to happen? If such war take place the humanity will be wiped out from the surface of this earth. More importantly, Middle East will be crushed like a sandwich between West and East.
