மக்கா - மினாவில் நெரிசலில் 717 பேர் வபாத், 863 பேர் காயம் (படங்கள் இணைப்பு)
சவுதி அரேபியாவில் வருடாந்த ஹஜ் யாத்திரையின் போது ஏற்பட்ட சனநெரிசலில் சிக்கி பல நூற்றுக்கணக்கானோர் கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர். 1990 க்கு பிறகு ஏற்பட்ட இப்படியான மிகப்பெரிய அழிவு இதுவாகும். புனித நகரான மக்காவில் இருந்து 3 மைல் தூரத்தில் இருக்கும் மினாவில் நடந்த இந்த விபத்தில் மேலும் நூற்றுக்கணக்கானவர்கள் காயமடைந்துள்ளனர். வருடாந்த ஹஜ் யாத்திரையில் இருபது லட்சம் மக்கள் வரை கலந்துகொண்டுள்ளனர். ஹஜ் யாத்திரையின் இறுதிக் கடமையான சாத்தான் மீது கல்லெறியும் நிகழ்வுக்காக மினாவில் யாத்ரீகர்கள் திரண்டபோது இந்தச் சம்பவம் நடந்துள்ளது. இந்தச் சம்பவத்தையடுத்து மீட்புப் பணிகளுக்காக நான்காயிரம் பேர்அனுப்பப்பட்டிருப்பதாக சவுதியின் உள்நாட்டுப் பாதுகாப்பு இயக்ககம் ட்விட்டர் தளத்தில் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. மேலும் 220க்கும் மேற்பட்ட அவசரகால மீட்புப் படையினரும் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளனர். காயமடைந்தவர்கள் அந்தப் பகுதியில் உள்ள நான்கு மருத்துவமனைகளுக்குக் கொண்டுசெல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

ReplyDeleteIt was the plan in early days of Kingdom's established that Hajj committee should be an international committee. I think that in 1939/or after that Kingdom had its international conference on this subject. I read on this subject ago in a book, before before 10 years... it says that Sadui called all Muslim nations to decide to this, all Muslim nations came to this conference, It was suggested by Indian delegate ( before Pakistan was formed) that Hajj should be maintained by a league of international committee representing all Muslim nations including with representation from Muslim minority ( this was done soon after Saudi was separated from Ottoman Empire). But it was left for voting to decide, It was said Saudi paid some countries to get more votes in support of its claim to have full control of maintaining both sacred mosques.. Should you need I could find out reference for you..or I could write a full article of this subject for the benefit of people. This is not to undermine Saudi efforts to help pilgrims at all. Do not take me wrong I do not support Iranian claims to Holy places ...
