பிரதமர் பதவிக்கு தான் பொருத்தமான நபர் என அமைச்சர் மேர்வின் சில்வா குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். ஊடகவியலாளர்களுக்கு கருத்து வெளியிடுகையிலேயே அவர் இவ்வாறு குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

Minister Mervyn Silva today said that he is the most suitable SLFPer to be the next Prime Minister.

The Minister in response to a question raised by a journalist said that he is the most suitable candidate in the SLFP for the Prime Ministerial post.

“There is no other person in the SLFP who is more suitable than I am to be appointed premier. My sister, brother and brother in law were all killed. I was injured, I have been jailed. My family home in Beliatta was destroyed. I have done my politics with the Rajapaksas.
