சுவிஸ் பள்ளிகளில் பயிலும் முஸ்லிம் மாணவர்கள், ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு கை கொடுக்க மறுத்தால், மாணவர்களின் பெற்றோர் 5,000 பிராங்குகள் (இலங்கை பெறுமதி 750,000) அபராதமாக செலுத்த வேண்டும் என சுவிஸ் பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை அதிரடி சட்டம் நிறைவேற்றியுள்ளது.
கடந்த இரண்டு மாதங்களுக்கு முன் பேசலில் உள்ள ஒரு பள்ளியில் இரண்டு முஸ்லிம் மதத்தை சார்ந்த மாணவர்கள், ஆசிரியைக்கு கை கொடுக்க மறுத்துள்ளனர்.
ஏனெனில், அவர்கள் குடும்ப உறுப்பினர் அல்லாத பெண்ணை தொட்டால், அது தங்களது மதத்திற்கு எதிரானது என கூறியுள்ளனர்.
பின்னர், பள்ளி தலைமை இரண்டு மாணவர்களுக்கும் தற்காலிகமாக விலக்கு அளித்திருந்தது.
இது சுவிஸ் கலாசாரத்திற்கு அவமரியாதையை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் அமைந்ததால், இச்சம்பவம் நாடு முழுவதும் கொந்தளிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியது.
பாலியல் பாகுபாடு இன்றி கை கொடுக்கும் பழக்கத்தை சுவிஸ் மக்கள் ஒரு மரியாதையின் அடையாளமாக கருதுகின்றனர். மேலும் சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே இந்த பழக்கம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு கற்பிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.
தற்போது, சுவிஸ் பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறையின் புதிய சட்டத்தின் மூலம் இரண்டு மாணவர்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட விலக்கு திரும்ப பெறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
நாட்டில் உள்ள பள்ளியில் படிக்கும் இளம் மாணவர்கள் பாலியல் பாகுபாடு கருதாமல் அனைத்து ஆசிரியர்களுக்கும் கை கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
மீறும் மாணவர்களின் பெற்றோர்கள் 5,000 பிராங்குகள் அபராதமாக செலுத்த வேண்டும் எனவும் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Being best to Allah, not for the Swiss is always best. Who are these Swiss law-makers who enforce laws with gross stupidity.
