ஜே.வி.பி. க்கு கிடைத்த சிறந்த தலைவர்களில் ஒருவர், அனுரகுமார திஸாநாயக்க - சோமவன்ச அமரசிங்க
ஜே.வி.பி.யில் மீளவும் இணைந்து கொள்ளப் போவதில்லை என கட்சியின் முன்னாள் தலைவர் சோமவன்ச அமரசிங்க தெரிவித்துள்ளார். கட்சியில் மீளவும் இணைந்து கொள்ளும் எவ்வித உத்தேசமும் கிடையாது.
தீர்மானம் எடுப்பதற்கு சில காலம் காத்திருந்தேன், எடுத்த தீர்மானம் சரியானது மீளவும் அதில் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது. எனது தீர்மானத்தின் பின்னணியில் எவ்வித சூழ்ச்சியும் கிடையாது. ஜே.பி.வி. அரசியல் ரீதயாக பலவீனமான நிலைமையை அடைந்துள்ளது.
கட்சியின் இயலாமை நிலைமைக்கு அனைத்து தலைவர்களும் பொறுப்பு சொல்ல வேண்டும். தற்போதைய தலைவர் அனுரகுமார திஸாநாயக்க கட்சிக்கு கிடைத்த சிறந்த தலைவர்களில் ஒருவராவார்.
பிரதான அரசியல் கட்சிகள் இரண்டினையும் மக்கள் நிராகரித்து வருகின்றனர். மக்களுக்காக புதிய அரசியல் கட்சியொன்றின் அவசியம் வெகுவாக எழுந்துள்ளது. எனது தீர்மானமானது கட்சிக்கு எதிரானதல்ல, புதிய கட்சியொன்றை அமைக்கும் நோக்கில் எடுக்கப்பட்டதுமல்ல.
ஜே.வி.பி.யை சரியான பாதைக்கு இட்டுச் செல்வதே எனது நோக்கம் என சோமவன்ச அமரசிங்க கொழும்பு ஊடகமொன்றுக்கு நேர்காணல் வழங்கியுள்ளார்.
ஒக்கே அண்ணே, போய் வாங்கோ.... போற நீங்க பொத்திக்கொண்டு போனீங்க எண்டா இன்னும் ரொம்ப நல்லா இருக்குமையா.

If the translation of his statements is correct, what he says are contradicting with
his actions. For example, he can not say Anura is one of the best leaders and he
resigns from the party to guide it in the right direction. He can resign from his
position to do that but not from the party. This has happened without any advance
signs in the media of his disappointment with the party . How did the media misse
it ?
