Free internet access to every citizen in Sri Lanka to access Facebook? President Maithripala likes the idea!

Friday last week Ruwan Wijewardene, Ajith Perera and I met with the President along with Sri Lankan born (quite famous!) Sillican Valley technologist and venture-capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya of Facebook fame. We had a nice discussion with the President about how to make Sri Lanka the first nation on earth with free internet access to every citizen. It was super chat about low earth orbit satellites and how FB users worked for change at the last election. Later in the evening Ruwan and I along with a few others had a nice long chat over a brew and talked about breaking a hundred!
