அழகி போட்டியில் இறுதிச்சுற்றில் hijab அணிந்தபடி பங்கேற்கவுள்ள முதல் முஸ்லிம் பெண்
இங்கிலாந்தில் நடைபெற்று வரும் அழகிப் போட்டியின் இறுதி சுற்றுக்கான தகுதி போட்டியில், முஸ்லிம் பெண் ஒருவர் hijab அணிந்தபடியே கலந்து கொண்டு வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளார்.
இங்கிலாந்தில் அழகிப்போட்டியின் இறுதி சுற்றானது Kelham Hall-ல் நாளைய தினம் நடைபெற்ற உள்ளது. இதற்கான தகுதி சுற்று போட்டிகள் அனைத்தும் தற்போது நடந்து முடிந்துள்ளன.
Huddersfield மற்றும் Yorkshire-ல் நடந்து முடிந்த போட்டியில் Sara Iftekhar என்ற 20 வயதான சட்டத்துறை மாணவி சிறந்த அழகியாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார்.
22 ஆயிரம் பெண்களை தோற்கடித்து முதல் 50 பெண்களுக்கான அழகி பட்டியலில் Sara இடம்பிடித்து இறுதி போட்டியில் பங்கேற்க உள்ளார்.
இதுகுறித்து Sara கூறுகையில், நான் நிச்சயம் மிஸ் இங்கிலாந்து படத்தை வெல்வேன் என கூறியதோடு, இறுதி போட்டியிலும் hijab அணிந்துகொண்டு கலந்து கொள்வேன் என தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இதற்கு முன்னதாக இங்கிலாந்தில் நடைபெற்ற அழகி போட்டியில், தகுதி சுற்று போட்டியில் மட்டுமே முஸ்லிம் பெண்கள் hijab அணிந்திருக்கின்றனர். ஆனால் இறுதிப் போட்டியிலும் hijab அணிந்துகொண்டே பங்கேற்கவுள்ள முதல் முஸ்லிம் பெண் Sara தான்.
நடைபெற உள்ள இறுதி போட்டியில் வெற்றிபெறும் பெண், விரைவில் சீனாவின் Sanya நகரில் நடைபெற உள்ள உலக அழகிக்கான போட்டியில் இங்கிலாந்து சார்பாக பங்கேற்பார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
