ஜனாதிபதி மைத்திரி உடனடியாக தலையிட்டு, நசீர் அகமட்டை மன்னிப்புக்கோர உத்தரவிட வேண்டும்

பொது இடத்தில் அவமதிப்புச் செய்தமைக்காக, கடற்படை கப்டன் பிரேமரத்னவிடம், கிழக்கு மாகாண முதலமைச்சர் நசீட் அகமட்டை மன்னிப்புக் கோருமாறு, மைத்திரிபால சிறிசேன உத்தரவிட வேண்டும் என்று, முன்னாள் கடற்படை அதிகாரியான றியர் அட்மிரல் எச்.ஆர்.அமரவீர வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.

கொழும்பில் நேற்று செய்தியாளர் சந்திப்பு ஒன்றை நடத்திய அவர், கிழக்கு மாகாண முதலமைச்சரின் நடத்தை அவரது தகுதிக்கு ஏற்றதல்ல. அவர் ஒரு மனிநோயாளி போல நடந்து கொண்டுள்ளார்.

பொது இடத்தில் கடற்படை அதிகாரி ஒருவரை அவமதிக்கும் உரிமை அவருக்கு இல்லை. பாதுகாப்பு படை அதிகாரி ஒருவர் பகிரங்கமாக இப்படி அவமதிக்கப்பட்டது இது தான் முதல் முறை.” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

இந்த செய்தியாளர் மாநாட்டில் கருத்து வெளியிட்ட ஓய்வுபெற்ற கடற்படை அதிகாரி றியர் அட்மிரல் ஆனந்த பீரிஸ், அரசியல்வாதிகளின் உத்தரவுகளுக்கு படை அதிகாரிகள் கட்டுப்பட்டு நடக்க வேண்டியதில்லை. அரசுத் தலைவரான முப்படைகளினதும் தளபதியின் கீழேதான் அவர்கள் பணியாற்றுபவர்கள்.” என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

அதேவேளை ஓய்வுபெற்ற மேஜர், பிரதீப் உடுகொட உரையாற்றிய போது, முன்னர் அமைச்சராக இருந்த மேர்வின் சில்வாவின் மகன் மாலக சில்வா, இராணுவ மேஜர் ஒருவரைத் தாக்கிய போது, மகிந்த ராஜபக்ச அரசாங்கம் அதனை மூடி மறைத்தது. அதற்கு எதிராக எதுவும் பேசாமல் இருந்த முன்னாள் படைத் தளபதிகள், இப்போது மட்டும் குரல் எழுப்புவது ஏன் என்று கேள்வி எழுப்பியுள்ளார்.

முதலில் முறை தவறி நடந்து கொண்டவர் கடற்படை அதிகாரியே எனவே அவர்தான் முதலில் மன்னிப்பு கோரவேண்டும். மிகவும் துவேசமாக உள்ள இந்த நாட்டின் முப்படையின் தன்மையை மாற்றி அமைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதையே இது எடுத்துக் காட்டுகிறது. இதற்கு எதிராக தமிழ் முஸ்லிம் அரசியல் வாதிகள் காத்திரமான நடவெடிக்கையை முன்னெடுப்பார்களா...??? தலைவர் ஹகீம் அவர்களுக்கு இந்த விடயம் பாரதூரமானது என்பது புரிகிறதோ தெரியாது ஆனால் ஒன்றுமட்டும் அவர் மனதில் ஓடும், இவன் ஒருத்தன் தேவை இல்லாமல் ஒரு தலைவலியை ஏற்படுத்தி விட்டான் என நினைப்பார் போலும்.

The issue here is NOT how the Naval Officer used his arm to set you aside, as it is claimed, for the students to get on to the stage, but THE MANNER IN WHICH THE CM BEHAVED ON THE STAGE POINTING YOUR FINGER AND TALKING IN A THREATENING MANNER AND THE LANGUAGE YOU AS THE CM USED ON THE NAVAL OFFICER IN QUESTION AND THE MANNER OF YOUR INTERACTION WITH THE GOVERNOR OF THE EPC WHO WAS ON THE STAGE AS THE CHIEF GUEST, especially in the presence of a foreign diplomat, the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka and in the audience a large gathering of students. You may be an arrogant CM of the district who may have a "POLITICAL CLOUT" with the Yahapalana government, but in fairness to the humble and disciplined Naval Officer, justice and or punishment has to be meted out to whoever is at fault. Please Brother Nazeer Ahamed, do not forget your beginnings, for God AllMighty is watching you from above. If you are wrong, his punishment will be severe than your arrogance.

Brother Noor Nizam, I disagree with your comments, blaming the Chief Minister entirely. Yes, his reaction and uncontrolled temper was uncalled for and he should have behaved in a professional manner. But, equally, it was the Naval Officer who behaved badly and did not provide the respect, the Chief Minister deserved, probably because he was a Muslim. Imagine, if it was the like of Gotabaya, Weerawansa or Mervin Silva on the Chief Minister's shoes in MR's regime! What would have happened? I'll leave these for your imagination! As a seasoned writer, I expected you to analyse the situation in a fair and impartial manner without joining the bandwagon to blame the Chief Minister entirely!

In by comments above, I have very clearly made my analytic statement viz-a-viz “quote” You may be an arrogant CM of the district who may have a “POLITICAL CLOUT” with the Yahapalana government, but in fairness to the humble and disciplined Naval Officer, justice and or punishment has to be meted to WHOEVER IS AT FAULT ”unquote”. My statement is THUS a very balanced and IMPARTIAL CRITICAL analysis without bias towards any of the individuals involved. I DO NOT agree with you when you say “But, equally, it was the Naval Officer who behaved badly and did not provide the respect the Chief Minister deserved, PROBABLY BECAUSE HE WAS A MUSLIM”. I see upon this as more “COMMUNAL MINDED” than a substantive thought in the defence of the Chief Minister. This is why we have to be FOCUSED on the ISSUE. The issue here is THE MANNER IN WHICH THE CM BEHAVED ON THE STAGE POINTING HIS FINGER AND TALKING IN A THREATENING MANNER AND THE LANGUAGE THE CM USED ON THE NAVAL OFFICER IN QUESTION AND THE MANNER OF THE CM’s INTERACTION WITH THE GOVERNOR OF THE EPC WHO WAS ON THE STAGE AS THE CHIEF GUEST.
Giving the benefit of the doubt to the Chief Minister Nazeer Ahamed, I have clearly stated in one of my earlier comments, that If the CM wish to support his allegation against this Naval Officer's behaviour as stated in his statement - "Quote" When I came up on stage, a naval officer who was acting as the ‘master of ceremonies’, physically obstructed me from proceeding to take my place on the stage. "Unquote", then CM should support it with journalistic TV news filming or photographic evident taken at that event on that day to prove the CM's innocence.
