'சமய தீவிரவாதங்களில் இருந்து நாட்டைப் பாதுகாருங்கள்' - இப்தாரில் மகஜர்

சட்டத்தையும் ஒழுங்கையும் நிலை நாட்டி சமய தீவிரவாதங்களில் இருந்து நாட்டைப் பாதுகாருங்கள் பாதுகாப்புச் செயலரிடம் அம்பாரை மாவட்ட சமாதானத்திற்கான சமயங்களின் பேரவை வேண்டுகோள்

2013.08.01ம் திகதி கொழும்பு  றமதா ஹோட்டலில் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சினால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட இப்தார் நிகழ்வின் போது அதிதியாகக் கலந்து கொண்ட பதுகாப்பு செயலாளர் கோத்தாபே ராஜபக்ஸவிடம் அம்பாறை மாவட்ட சமாதானத்திற்கான சமயங்களின் பேரவைத் தலைவர் டாக்டர் அல்-ஹாஜ் எம்.ஐ.எம். ஜெமீல் மகஜர் ஒன்றைக் கையளித்து மேற்கூறப்பட்ட வேண்டுகோளை விடுத்தார். அம்மகஜரில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதாவது,

அண்மைக்காலமாக சமயத் தீவிரவாதிகள் சட்டத்தை தங்கள் கையில் எடுத்துக்கொணடு ஏனைய சமயங்களை நிந்திப்பதும், சமய ஸ்தலங்களையும் வியாபார ஸ்தலங்களையும் சேதப்படுத்துவதும் நாட்டிற்கு நன்மையாக அமையாது எனக் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

மேலும் பெரும்பான்மை மக்களால் தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்ட, புத்தசமயத்தில் வலுவான பற்றுள்ள ஜனாதிபதி மகிந்த ராஜபக்ஸவின் தலைமையில் இயங்கும் அரசின் ஆட்சியில். காலனித்துவ ஆட்சியின் போது சமயத்துறவிகள் புத்த சமயத்தையும், சிங்கள சமூகத்தையும் பாதுகாக்கவெனப் போராடியது போன்ற தேவை இன்று இல்லை எனவும் குறிப்பிடப்படடுள்ளது.

அம்பாறை மாவட்டத்தில் சமயங்களுக்கிடையேயான ஒற்றுமையை வலுப்படுத்துவதில் இராணுவத்தின் சிறந்த வகிபங்கையும் டாக்டர் ஜெமீல் பாதுகாப்புச் செயலாளரிடம் எடுத்துரைத்தார்.

  IFTAR by M.O.D. on 01.08.2013

I thank you for your kind gesture in initiating and participating in the IFTAR organized by the MOD today.   It is indeed a great honour to me personally for having been invited to attend this function.

Members of the SLCRP(A.D) joins me in saluting you for your pivotal role in restoring peace after thirty years old war and your dedicated leadership to instill discipline, decorum and devotion among the forces and the public. This paved the way for the people to breathe a fresh air of peace in the country.

Nevertheless, since recently discipline is diminishing in the country thus creating unrest and suspicions among the people. This is due to some extremist opportunists taking law in to their hands and media giving undue importance to trivial communal conflicts.

We appreciate the rights and desire of Sangha to safeguard Buddhism and Sinhala community in Sri Lanka and the people giving pressure to the government for action. However, violent protests are not in need as in the early seventeen and nineteen centuries when Sri Lanka was under foreign rule. 

Present government is a popularly elected government headed by H.E. Mahinda Rajapkse who is a devout Buddhist. Therefore he should be allowed to handle the situation reasonably without threatening hate speech against other religious communities and damaging places of religious worship and private business places.  This type of violence may not augur well for the future of the country.

Therefore we kindly urge your kind self to take adequate steps to enforce law and order in the country.
