Usthaz Ayyub Ali is one of experts in this topic. He is very much knowledgeable person on this area of Islamic charity. He has given many talks on this subject and he has indeed written many books and articles on this topic.so it is good time that expatriate communtiy benefit from his knowledge and experience on this field ?
ReplyDeleteI think his talks should be given in many other countries...people in europe deserve more talks on this topic..Sri Lankan Muslim communtiy in eunope should have such talks too
They deserve to give more Zakath that people in ME and Sri Lanka.
We may have around 50 Muslim in all western countries alone..if all of them give Zakath and Sadaka we could have help many poor families in SL..
The problem with Muslim communtiy is not Islamic teaching and guidance..Islam has given a lot guidance line but problem is with Muslim minds and Muslim people..
We are not organised and we are not systematic and we are not planing and we are divided...this ad hoc and chaotic conditions that prevail in Muslim people left far reaching consequences on all aspects of Muslim.communtiy life ..Look at the way, we have been collecting and giving Zakath ...Zakath is one best ways to wipe out poverty and help poor and even non Muslim community is amazed with this system. Former British MP said Muslim community is most charitable in England.why he said this ? He knows and British Government knows that Muslim community gives a lot in charity in Ramadan and in orthermonths too..but yet we are not organised in giving charity ..
What I would like to see some systemization in giving and collecting Zakath ...we have only 2million Muslim in SL. I THINK OUT OF 2M we may have at least around 2 hundred thousands who should pay Zakath.
In this modern world we live in today ?.with all modern technology and advancement why can not we devise a system to collect and give Zakath? Why we cannot do it ?.if Muslim communtiy could organise this it would have good effect and impact on our communtiy in SL?.I know why they can not do it? I know well that when it comes money matters all groups and all ideological groups will try to take lion share of that collection and this would create fitna.what is why we can not have any system to do this?.Islamic groups are formed to help Muslim community and it should work hand in hand to help poor and weak ..so we should have some unity in performing this Islamic obligation..
I hope shiekh Ayyub Ali touch upon this aspect of this topic as well..we have enough money but we do not have enough system to do this in any professional ways ..
That is the main theme of this topic we should discuss and that is main point we should discuss in these types of public talks today..of course this is a big topic but in minority contexts we have not yet developed a good system for Zakath collection and distribution..

Benefit of public and so that Islamic groups will come out of its narrow world view and work for public not for their groups..
May know who is actually responsible for collecting and distributing for zakath
