பேருவளையில் 18 பள்ளிவாசல்கள் தற்காலிகமாக மூடப்பட்டன
A cluster of 18 mosques in the Beruwela area will be closed temporarily on instructions from the Mosque Federation of the area.
In a letter addressed to all the mosques in Beruwela, the Joint Secretary of the China Fort Mosque Society, M.M.M.Shihab said that in keeping with the health of the community and to prevent further spread of the Covid virus, the request was being made to close all mosques for a few days for the greater good of the community.
A leading businessman in China Fort, who wish to remain anonymous said that this is a good decision where the community makes a voluntary decision to close the mosques for a few days in view of the fast spreading pandemic.
He said he wished others to follow suit according to the environments in the their respective areas and to re-open them according to the needs of the areas
