சிறுபான்மையினத்தவர் ஆதரவின்றி ஜனாதிபதி தேர்தலில் வெற்றிபெற முடியாது என்ற நிலையை ராஜபக்சக்களே மாற்றியமைத்தனர்
நுவரெலியா மாவட்டத்தை சுற்றுலா வலயமாக அபிவிருத்தி செய்யும் திட்டத்துக்கு இணையாக கொத்மலை பிரதேசத்தை அபிவிருத்தி செய்யும் வேலைத்திட்டத்தை இன்று (20) ஆரம்பித்து வைத்து உரையாற்றுகையிலேயே அவர மேற்கண்டவாறு கூறினார்.
இது தொடர்பில் அவர் மேலும் கூறியவை வருமாறு, எம்.சி.சி. உடன்படிக்கையில் கைச்சாத்திடாததால் நாட்டுக்கு நஷ்டம் எனவும், கடன்களை பெறமுடியாது எனவும் விமர்சிக்கப்படுகின்றது.நாம் கடன் வாங்கியது போதும். தேசிய பொருளாதாரத்தை மையப்படுத்தியே இம்முறை வரவு - செலவுத்திட்டம்கூட தயாரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கிராமங்களை கட்டியெழுப்புவதற்கான வாய்ப்புகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
துறைமுகத்தை இந்தியாவுக்கோ அல்லது சீனாவுக்கோ வழங்குவதற்கு நாம் தயாரில்லை. எமது நாட்டு தேவைக்காகவே துறைமுகம் நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால் கடந்த அரசாங்கம்தான் 99 வருடகால குத்தகைக்கு துறைமுகமொன்றை வழங்கியது. கடந்த ஆட்சியின்போதே பொருளாதாரமும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டது. இதனால்தான் நாட்டை முன்னோக்கி கொண்டுசெல்வதற்கு எமக்கு மூன்றிலிரண்டு பெரும்பான்மை ஆதரவு கிடைத்தது.
ஜனாதிபதி தேர்தலின்போது கோட்டாபய ராஜபக்ச வெற்றிபெறமாட்டார் எனவும், அவருக்கு சிறுபான்மையின மக்கள் அவருக்கு வாக்களிக்கமாட்டார்கள் என்றும் கூறப்பட்டது.இந்நிலைமையும் மாற்றியமைக்கப்பட்டது.
ராஜபக்சக்களுக்கு யுத்தத்தை முடிவுக்கு கொண்டுவரமுடியாது என அன்று குறிப்பிட்டனர். ஆனால் ராஜபக்சக்கள் அதனை செய்துமுடித்தனர். நாட்டை அபிவிருத்திசெய்யமுடியாது எனவும் சுட்டிக்காட்டினர்.எனினும் அபிவிருத்தியையும் செய்து காட்டினர். அதுமட்டுமல்ல சிறுபான்மையினத்தவர்களின் ஆதரவின்றி தேர்தலில் வெற்றிபெறமுடியாது என்றனர். ஆனால் ராஜபக்சக்கள் வெற்றிநடைபோட்டனர் என்றனர்.

How correct is the claim that the Rajapakses brought the war to an end?
ReplyDeleteThe Rajapakses came to power after the Presidential Election in Nov. 2005 when there was a Ceasefire and Peace Talks which broke down after the LTTE closed Mavil Aru in July, 2006, after which sporadic clashes followed. Following a decision to drive the LTTE out of the East and then use its Full Military to defeat the LTTE in the North, the Army began an Offensive in Dec. 2006, which ended in July 2007 when the last LTTE stronghold in the East, Thoppigala Jungles, was cleared of the LTTE. Having cleared the East of the LTTE in just over 6 months, the Army unleashed its Full might on the North towards the end of 2007 and took control of the North in May 2009, thus ending the War.
What made this possible?
1.The Firm opposition of the Muslims to the Ealam project and their
unwavering support to the Forces throughout the War for which they
paid a heavy Price in Lives, Property and day to day life. The
Terrorists didn’t spare the Muslims even inside the Mosques while
praying in Kattankudy and Eravur where hundreds were killed.
2. Muslims in active duty in the Forces who played a key role not only
in actual fighting in the front lines but also in intelligence
gathering because of their fluency in Tamil.
3. The Defection of Karuna in July 2004 which was facilitated by Ali
Zahir Mowlana. Karuna, in addition to vital Intelligence on the
LTTE, had over 5000 fighters whom the LTTE had to contend with when
the Army began its offensive in the East in Dec. 2006.
4. The Tsunami of Dec. 2004 which took a heavy toll on the dreaded Sea
Tigers and their Equipment
5. Last, but not the least, the Forces being led by a very able
Commander, Sarath Fonseka whom Mahinda Rajapakse, the Former
President, himself praised as the Best Commander in the world soon
after the War was won.
So, the Rajapakses did NOT win the War but a combination of other factors did so and only the Ignorant and the Rajapakse worshippers will credit the Rajapakses for winning the war. It is just that the Rajapakses were there at the Right Time and in the Right Place to take the credit and, no doubt, the cunning Media too played its role in giving the credit to the Rajapakses by calling them War Heroes all the time.
சிறுபான்மை கட்சிகளின் ஆதரவு இல்லாமல் இருக்கலாம் ஆனால் சிறுபான்மை மக்களின் ஆதரவு இல்லாமல் ஜனாதிபதி வெற்றி பெற்றார் என்பது ஏற்புடையதல்ல.கணிசமான தமிழ்,முஸ்லீம் மலையக மக்களின் கட்சி பேதமற்ற வாக்குகளை ஜனாதிபதி பெற்றார்.இவைகள் மாறி எதிர்க்கட்சிக்கு விழுந்திருந்தால் சஜித் சிலவேளை வெற்றி பெற்றிருக்கலாம் அல்லது யாருக்கும் 50% முதல் சுற்றில் கிடைக்காமல் இருந்திருக்கலாம்.
