வெளிநாடுகளிலுள்ள இலங்கையர்க்கு வாக்களிக்கும் வசதியினை செய்துகொடுக்க 45 நாடுகள் தயார்
வெளிநாடுகளிலுள்ள இலங்கையர் தேர்தலில் வாக்களிப்பதற்கான செய்து கொடுப்பதற்கு 45 நாடுகள் தயாராக இருப்பதாக இது தொடர்பில் ஆராய்வதற்கான பாராளுமன்ற விஷேட குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
இருந்த போதிலும் இதற்கான செயற்பாட்டை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்வதில் கட்சிகளின் ஒத்துழைப்பு மிகவும் பலவீனமாக இருப்பதாக குழுவின் அங்கத்தவர் பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் சுனில் ஹந்துன்னெத்தி தெரிவித்தார். இதனால் ஜனாதிபதித் தேர்தலில் இவர்களுக்கு வாய்ப்பளிப்பதற்கு முடியாமல் போகலாம். ஆனால் பொதுத் தேர்தலில் இவர்களுக்கு இந்த வாய்ப்பைப் பெற முடியும் எனவும் அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.
வெளிநாடுகளிலுள்ள இலங்கையர் மொத்த சனத்தொகையில் 10 வீதமான இலங்கையர் வெளிநாடுகளில் இருக்கிறார்கள். நாட்டின் தேசிய வருமானத்தில் 35 வீதம் இவர்கள் பங்களிப்புச் செய்கிறார்கள். நாட்டின் தலைமையைத் தீர்மானிப்பதில் இவர்களுக்கு கட்டாயம் வாய்ப்பு வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும் எனவும் அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

ReplyDeleteTheir kids who complete their education with world class marks up to high-school residing with their parents in foreign country and when they return to Srilanka, they are denied to enter university as normal citizens to enjoy free education till they complete their degree. Rather are only given small % of sheets under payment basis, which is huge amount ( example: for medical faculty such a student has to pay around 10 million rupees) and are treated like foreign students.
I hope the central government should consider to solve this problem in future.. while benefiting the foreign income from such citizens working outside.
