ஐக்கிய தேசியக் கட்சி தனது அரசியல் திட்டத்திற்காக முஸ்லிம் சமூகத்தை பிரயோசனப்படுத்தி வருவதாக எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவர் மகிந்த ராஜபக்ச தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவரின் உத்தியோகபூர்வ இல்லத்தில் இன்று -11- நடந்த கூட்டம் ஒன்றில் அவர் இதனை கூறியுள்ளார்.
நாட்டின் தற்போதைய சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் முஸ்லிம் மக்களுக்கும் கீழ்படியும் அரசாங்கம் ஒன்றின் தேவை இருக்கின்றது.
இதன் மூலம் சாதாரண முஸ்லிம் மக்களின் பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு தீர்வு கிடைக்காது எனவும் மகிந்த ராஜபக்ச குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

new development ? And the rest of Srilankan politics where
you belong too , can not tolerate it ? What is the other
side of what you are saying ? You don't use Muslims and
Muslims don't use you ! Why ? Why is that ? Because your
policies don't include Muslim's welfare ! If you say that
the incumbent government is under the manipulation of
Muslim politics then the same should be the case before
2015 with all the Muslims on your side ? Agree ? The worst
politics in the country is all its leaders believe in
fooling its people in the name of serving ! God save the
miracle of Asia !
So you are a clean man. You never utilise the situation.
