போதையில் சுற்றி திரியும் சிலராலேயே, முஸ்லிம்களின் சொத்துக்களுக்கு சேதம் ஏற்பட்டுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது
நாட்டின் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதி செய்வதற்கு முப்படையினர் மற்றும் பொலிஸாருக்கு முழமையான ஒத்துழைப்பை வழங்குமாறு தான் அனைவரிடமும் கேட்டுக்கொள்வதாக இராணுவ தளபதி மஹேஷ் சேனாநாயக்க தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
வட மேல் மாகாணத்தில் முஸ்லிம் மக்களின் சொத்துக்களுக்கு சேதம் ஏற்பட்டுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தப் பகுதியில் போதையில் சுற்றி திரியும் சிலராலேயே இந்த நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளதாக கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
பொலிஸார் அதிரடிப்படையினர் மற்றும் முப்படையினர் இந்தப்பகுதிகளில் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதி செய்துள்ளனர். ஊரடங்கு சட்டம் அமுல்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள நேரத்தில் அல்லது ஏனைய நேரங்களில் நல்லிணக்கத்திற்கு பாதிப்பு ஏற்படும் வகையில் செயற்பட்டால் சட்டம் முழுமையாக செயற்படுத்தப்படும்.
பொது மக்கள் இவ்வாறானவர்களுக்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு வழங்காது அமைதியான முறையில் தமது பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும். இவ்வாறான கும்பலுக்கு ஆதரவு வழங்கும் வகையில் செயல்பட்டால் இராணுவத்தினர். தமது அதிகாரத்தை முழுமையாக பிரயோகிக்க வேண்டி ஏற்படும் என்றும் இராணுவ தளபதி மஹேஷ் சேனாநாயக்க மேலும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

ReplyDeleteSL military always gives sufficient time for Sinhala perpetrators to do brutal violence against minority communities since 1987.
All the atrocities are taking place with the blessing of the Armed forces. If you are honest and impartial, show some leadership and make sure the Armed forced do not turn blind eye when criminals go rampage. Instead order them to do their duty and protect the innocent.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the history. During the 1983 riots against Tamils, Armed forces and Police were mere spectators. Innocent civilians were burnt to death in front of Security forces. That was the time Tamils realized that they cannot depend on government but will have to protect themselves and joined LTTE in large numbers. Previously unknown group LTTE became the most powerful rebel group in the world and eventually turned as a terrorist group.
If Security forces fail to do their duty it may, god forbid not, drive Muslims towards contemplating of taking up arms to protect themselves, just like Tamils did.
