தொழுதுவிட்டு வெளியே வந்த இலங்கையரை மோதிய கார் - லெஸ்டரில் சம்பவம் - ஆபத்தான நிலையில் வைத்தியசாலை அனுமதி

லெஸ்டரில் வசித்து வரும் எமது இலங்கை சகோதரர் மஸூமி நேற்றிரவு புதன்கிழமை (29)இ இரவு தொழுகையை நிறைவு செய்து அத் தக்வா மஸ்ஜிதை விட்டும் வெளியேறுகையில் அதிவேகமாக வந்த கார் ஒன்றினால் விபத்துக்குள்ளாகி கவலைக்கிடமான நிலையில் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டு தற்போது தீவிர சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகிறார்.   

Two people have been arrested after a suspected hit-and-run near a mosque, which left a man and a teenager hurt.

A pedestrian in his 40s was struck in Humberstone Road after leaving the Masjid At-Taqwa mosque in Leicester at about 01:00 BST on Thursday.

He remains in a stable condition in hospital. A teenage boy, who was also struck, sustained minor injuries.

A woman, aged 21, and a man, 23, have been held on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The mosque said the man had been hit by a car after leaving Taraweeh - prayers made during the month of Ramadan.
