இலங்கை அணிக்கு, பரிதாப நிலை - மூத்த வீரர்கள் வேதனை
இலங்கை அணியின் முன்னாள் சுழற் பந்து வீச்சாளர் முத்தையா முரளிதரன் இலங்கை மற்றும் அவுஸ்திரேலிய அணிகளை விமர்சித்துள்ளார்.
நடைபெற்று முடிந்த இலங்கை மற்றும் அவுஸ்திரேலிய அணிகளுக்கிடையிலான முரளிதரன் - வோர்ன் கிண்ண இரு போட்டிகள் கொண்ட டெஸ்ட் தொடரில் இலங்கை அணி முதல் போட்டியில் இன்னிங்ஸ் மற்றும் 40 ஓட்டத்தினாலும், இரண்டாவது போட்டியில் 366 ஓட்டங்களினாலும் படுதோல்வியடைந்திருந்தது.
இந் நிலையில் இத் தொடரில் இலங்கை அணி அடைந்த படுதோல்வி குறித்து இலங்கை அணியின் கிரிக்கெட் ஜம்பவான் முத்தையா முரளீதரன் குறிப்பிடுகையில்,
இலங்கை அணிக்கு கடந்த மூன்று தொடக்கம் நான்கு ஆண்களாக இந்த பரிதாப நிலையே தொடர்கின்றது. இலங்கை அணிக்கு சர்வதேச போட்டிகளில் களமிறங்கும் போது என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற வியூகம் அவர்களிடம் இல்லை.
அத்துடன் குசல் மெண்டிஸ் போன்ற இளம் வீரர்கள் திறமையுடையவர்கள். எனினும் அவர்களால் தொடர்ச்சியாக சிறப்பான ஆட்டத்தை வெளிக்காட்ட முடியவில்லை. இது அவர்களின் எதிர்கால கிரிக்கெட் வாழ்க்கையை கேள்விக் குறியாக்கும்.
அதேபோல் அவுஸ்திரேலியாவின் ஆட்டமும் முன்னர் போன்று சிறப்பானதாக இல்லை எனவும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

இலங்கை கிரிக்கெட் அணி பல பின்னடைவுகளை கடந்த காலங்களில் கடந்து வந்திருந்தபோதிலும் தற்போது ஏற்பட்டிருக்கும் நிலைமை மிகவும் மோசமானது எனவும், சங்கக்கார, மஹேல, தில்சான், ரங்கன ஹேரத் ஆகியோரின் ஆலோசனைகளை பெற்றுக்கொள்ள இலங்கை கிரிக்கெட் நிறுவனம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் எனவும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
Yes Mr.Muralitharan,Srilanka's cricket is in downward.but who is responsible for that? Remember that most of cricket pundits,including Bishan Bedi said that you are chucking the ball.But Srilankan Cricket official stood firmly with you and protected you.So you proved you are great bowler and as Srilankan I too proud of you.
ReplyDeleteBut you and Srilankan cricket officials did greatest injustice to the world class bowler,Arshad Junaid who played Under 19 world cup in 1996 and performed well. He is far better than you at that time,had he continued,he should have been the greatest bowler.No any international umpires or coach said he is chucking but praised him as future prospect.
But Srilankan umpires called him a chucking and banned from playing.Because he is Muslims and phenomenal perfomances.cricket official took different attitude than what they did to protect you although world cricketers called you chucking. Legendary bowlers are very rare and he is one of them.So you all failed to protect not from international umpires but from local umpires and denied the services of Srilanka team a greatest bowler.Jehan Mubarak was in the team for more than 4 years but was not given a chance to play and just sit in the bench. He is next Sangakkara had he given sufficient chance to improve his talent but only one or two. He scored most double hundred in domestic cricket,which is the yardstick to measure the talent but neglected. So this is destruction of Srilankan cricket. Mahroof too not given a proper chance. So you all and racism is responsible for the present day Srilanka Cricket downward.
