மாவனெல்லையில் புத்தர் சிலை உடைப்புக்கு எதிராக, மாபெரும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டமொன்றை சிங்கள அமைப்புக்கள் ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தன.
எனினும் நீதிமன்றம் இதற்கு தடையுத்தரவு பிறப்பித்துள்ளது.
இந்நிலையில் குறித்த ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தை, முன்நின்று நடாத்த ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்த பௌத்த பிக்குவை முஸ்லிம்களில் ஒரு தரப்பினர் போய் சந்தித்துள்ளனர்.
இதையடுத்து இரு தரப்பாருக்கும் இடையில் ஓரளவு சமரசம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
