துர்நாற்றம் வீசும் கொழும்பு - நோய் பரவும் அபாயம்

மீதொட்டமுல்ல குப்பை மேடு அனர்த்தம் நடந்த பின்னர் ஒருவாரமாக கொழும்பு நகரிலுள்ள குப்பைகள் அகற்றப்படாமல் உள்ளன. குப்பை அகற்றல் நடவடிக்கைகள் முழுமையாக ஸ்தம்பிதமடைந்துள்ளன. இதன்காரணமாக நகர வீதியோரங்களில் துர்நாற்றம் வீச தொடங்கியுள்ளன. இதனால் நோய் பரவும் அபாயமும் தோன்றியுள்ளன.
கொழும்பு நகரின் குப்பைகள் பிலியந்தல கரதியான பகுதியில் கொட்டுவதற்கு நீதிமன்றம் அனுமதி வழங்கியிருந்த நிலையில் அப்பிரதேச மக்களின் எதிர்ப்பின் காரணமாக குறித்த நடவடிக்கைகள் கைவிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. கொழும்பு நகர குப்பைகள் அகற்றப்படாமல் உள்ளமையினால் மக்கள் கடுமையான விசனங்களை தெரிவித்த வண்ணமுள்ளனர்.
கொழும்பு நகரின் பல்வேறு இடங்களில் குப்பை அகற்றல் நடவடிக்கைகள் ஸ்தம்பிதமடைந்து காணப்படுகின்றது. குறிப்பாக கிரான்பாஸ், மட்டக்குளி, நவகம்புர, கொட்டாஞ்சேனை, மருதானை, பொரளை, ஆமர் வீதி, மாளிகாவத்தை, வெள்ளவத்தை, கொள்ளுப்பிட்டி, வத்தளை, ஹெந்தல, ஜம்பட்டாதெரு உள்ளிட்ட பல பாகங்களிலும் குப்பை அகற்றப்படாமல் உள்ளன.
அகற்றப்படாத குப்பைகளை அவை காய்ந்த பின் பாதுகாப்பான முறையில் அவ்வவ்விடங்களிலேயே தீயிட்டுக் கொழுத்தி விடலாம்.
ReplyDeleteVery recently the State of Qatar issued travel advisory to its citizen to refrain travelling to Colombo on the out break of Dengue. The Sri Lankan govt reacted very furiosly. Many countries might follow the Qatar footsteps to keep Colombo out of bounds to their Citizens to protect them from disease such as Cholera, Dengue, H1N1 etc. Colombo is stinging and everwhere garbage thrown out and if there is a heavy pour the debris will clog all the drainage lines and it will be another catastrophy. The govt should react very fast on a war footing to resolve this issue.There are many fox waiting for an opportunity to bring discredit to the govt. Wake up...wake up.....to clear this strewn out garbage before this time bomb explode.
