முஸ்லிம்களின் வர்த்தகத்தை அழித்து அவ்விடத்தை பெரும்பான்மை மக்கள் கைப்பற்றிக் கொள்ளும் வகையிலான திட்டங்களை தற்போது இனவாதக்குழுக்கள் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளன. இதன் பிரதிபலனே போர்வை நகரில் முஸ்லிம்களின் கடைகள் மீது மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பெற்றோல் குண்டுத் தாக்குதலாகும். பொலிஸாரும் உளவுப்பிரிவினரும் தாக்குதல்களுடன் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்களை உடன் கைது செய்ய வேண்டும் என வர்த்தக மற்றும் கைத்தொழில் அமைச்சர் ரிசாத் பதியுதீன் தெரிவித்தார்.
போர்வை நகரில் முஸ்லிம்களின் வர்த்தக நிலையங்கள் மீது மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட தாக்குதல்கள் தொடர்பாக இதுவரை எவரும் கைது செய்யப்படாமை பற்றி கருத்து தெரிவிக்கையிலேயே அவர் இவ்வாறு கூறினார்.அவர் தொடர்ந்தும் கருத்து தெரிவிக்கையில்
'முஸ்லிம்களின் வர்த்தக நிலையங்களைத் தாக்கி அச்ச நிலையை உருவாக்குவதுடன் முஸ்லிம்களின் உடைமைகளையும் பொருட்களையும் கொள்ளையிடுவதற்கான திட்டங்களுடன் சில இனவாதக் குழுக்கள் களத்தில் இறங்கியுள்ளன.
அளுத்கம வன்செயலில் முஸ்லிம்களின் உடைமைகளை சூறையாடியவர்கள் மீண்டும் அவ்வாறான நிலைமையை உருவாக்கி முஸ்லிம்களின் வர்த்தகத்தை கொள்ளையடிக்க முயற்சிக்கின்றனர்.இவ்வாறான முயற்சிகளின் போது பொலிஸாரின் பங்களிப்பு முழுமையாக வழங்கப்படுவதுடன் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்கள் உடனடியாக கைது செய்யப்பட்டு சட்டத்தின் முன் நிறுத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.
இவ்வாறான சட்ட நடவடிக்கைகள் முன்னெடுக்கப்படாதவிடத்து வர்த்தக நிலையங்கள் தாக்கப்படுவதை நிறுத்துவதற்கு முடியாது. போர்வை நகர் வர்த்தக நிலையங்கள் தாக்குதல் தொடர்பில் தீவிர விசாரணைகளை முன்னெடுத்துள்ளதாக பொலிஸார் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர். சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு தண்டனை வழங்கப்பட்டாலே எதிர்காலத்தில் இவ்வாறான சம்பவங்கள் இடம்பெறாது தடுக்க முடியும் என்றார்.
முஸ்லிம்களின் மீள் குடியேற்றம், காணி உரிமைகள், வர்த்தகம் என்பன கேள்விக்குறியாகியுள்ள நிலையில் அரசாங்கம் விரைவில் இவற்றுக்கான தீர்வுகளை பெற்றுக்கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறினார்.

punished . Now , taking them for an encouragement,

who were watching helplessly under Mahinda are now
watching under My3 and Ranil ! Remember how
Meethotumulla started and how it is being sorted
out after disaster struck and people lost lives.
political decisions were behind the creation of
that huge garbage dump which started with two
acres with approval and ran into seventeen acres
without approval but under the watchful eyes of
former and incumbent governments. All this is
due to corrupt politics , corrupt admin and
corrupt businesses and corrupt religions . All
are to blame for corruption because none of
them unitedly acted with responsibility to
fight against the social evil . It is the same
thing that is happening to the Muslims now .
If you don't act decisively and responsibly
against every single incident , the trend is
going to grow without control until another
Meethotumulla burst !
