சவுதி ராணுவத்திற்கும் ஏமன் நாட்டு கிளர்ச்சியாளர்களுக்கும் இடையே பனிப்போர் நிகழ்ந்து வருகிறது.
இந்நிலையில், ஏமன் நாட்டில் உள்ள Saada மாகாணத்தில் இருந்து மெக்காவை அழிக்க கிளர்ச்சியாளர்கள் திட்டம் தீட்டியுள்ளனர்.
இதனை தொடர்ந்து கண்டம் விட்டு கண்டம் பாயும் Burkan-1 என்ற ஏவுகணையை நேற்று இரவு 9 மணியளவில் கிளர்ச்சியாளர்கள் ஏவியுள்ளனர்.
எனினும், இந்த தாக்குதல் குறித்து ரகசிய தகவல் சவுதி ராணுவத்திற்கு முன்னரே கிடைத்துள்ளது.
ஏவுகணை மெக்காவை நோக்கி பாய்ந்து வந்தபோது, அதனை 65 கி.மீ தூரத்திற்கு முன்னரே சவுதி ராணுவம் சுட்டு வீழ்த்தியுள்ளது.
இதனை சவுதி ராணுவ அதிகாரி உறுதிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார். எனினும், இச்சம்பவத்தில் உயிரிழப்பு எதுவும் ஏற்படவில்லை.
ஏமன் கிளர்ச்சியாளர்களுக்கு தொடர்ந்து ராணுவ பயிற்சி அளித்து வரும் ஈரான் அரசை சவுதி கடுமையாக கண்டித்துள்ளது.
சவுதிக்கு இரண்டு முகம் ஒன்று முஸ்லீம் நாடுகளுக்கு தான் ஒரு ஷியா ஈரானிற்கு எதிரானவன் என்று காட்டுதல் மற்றது அமெரிக்கா இஸ்ரேலுடன் நெருங்கிய உறவும் அவர்களுடன் இனைந்து முஸ்லீம் நாடுகலை மட்டம் தட்டுதல்

Saudi Arabia has American Patriot Missiles which can intercept incoming missiles after being launched. They don't need to have prior information to launch the Patriot Missiles. During Gulf war in 1990s Saddam was sending Scud missiles to Riyadh and Eastern regions on a daily basis.
