பள்ளிவாசல் அனுமதி ரத்து, சும்மா இருக்கமாட்டோம் என்கிறார் சிராஸ் நூர்தீன்

தெஹிவளை பாத்யா மாவத்தை, பெளசுல் அக்பர் பள்ளிவாசலின் கட்டிட நிர்மாணத்திற்காக தெஹிவளை கல்கிசை மாநகர சபையினால் வழங்கப்பட்டிருந்த அனுமதிப் பத்திரத்தை, நகர அபிவிருத்தி அதிகார சபை இரத்துச் செய்துள்ளது.
இந்நிலையில் பள்ளிவாசல் அனுமதி ரத்துச் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளமை அநீதியென கொழும்பு மாவட்ட பள்ளிவாசல்கள் சம்மேளன செயலாளரும் மூத்த சட்டத்தரணியுமான சிராஸ் நூர்தீன் தெரிவித்தார்.
இதுதொடர்பில் அவர் மேலும் கூறுகையில்,
பள்ளிவாசலின் அனுமதி ரத்துச் செய்யப்பட்டமை அநீதியானது. இது அடிப்படை மனித உரிமை மீறலாகும். பள்ளிவாசல் இயங்குவதற்கு ஏற்கனவே பெறப்பட்ட சட்டரீதியான அனுமதிப் பத்திரங்கள் உள்ளது.
இந்நிலையில் இந்த அநீதிக்கெதிராக நாங்கள் சும்மா வேடிக்கை பார்த்துக்கொண்டு சும்மா நிற்கப்போவதில்லை. தற்போது இதுதொடர்பிலான உள்ளக கலந்துரையாடல்களிலும், ஆவண தயாரிப்புகளிலும் பங்கேற்றுள்ளோம். எதிர்வரும் திங்கட்கிழமை இதுதொடர்பிலான வழக்கொன்றை உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் தாக்கல் செய்யவுள்ளோம்.
பள்ளிவாசல் இயங்க வேண்டும அதிண் தொழ வேண்டும அல்லது மத்ரஸா நடைபெற வேண்டும என்பதையெல்லாம் தீர்மானிக்க வேண்டியவர்கள் முஸ்லிம்கள்தான். மாறாக அதிகாரிகள் அல்ல. குறித்த பள்ளிவாசலில் தொழுகை நடத்துவதை தடைசெய்யவும் முயற்சிக்கப்படுகிறது. இதனை அனுமதிக்க முடியாது.
நாட்டில் தடைசெய்ய வேண்டிய எத்தனையோ விடயங்கள் இருக்கையில் சட்டஒழுங்கு பிரச்சினையை காரணம் காட்டி பள்ளிவாசல் அனுமதி ரத்துச் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளமையை எக்காரணம் கொண்டும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது எனவும் சிராஸ் நூர்தீன் ஜப்னா முஸ்லிம் இணையத்திற்கு இதன்போது சுட்டிக்காட்டினார்.

What Dehiwela-Mt.Lavinia Mayor Danasiri Amaratunga has stated on this issue is purely a political statement - DUPING THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY WHICH HAVE NO ADMINISTRATIVE VALUE AT ALL. NOW SEE WHAT THE DISTRICT SECRETARY HAS STATED. NOW WHAT THE DISTRICT SECRETARY HAS STATED HAS BEEN REFLECTED AS OFFIVIAL BY THE CENTRE/FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
What Minister Sagala Ratnayake, PM. Ranil Wickremesinghe, Yahapalana Muslim Ministers Rauf Hakeem, Rishad Bathiudeen, Faizer Musthapa and MP’s, Mujeebu Rahuman had stated “was pure bluffing the Bahatiya Mawatha Jamath. So “The Muslim Voice” predicted this situation – Alhamdulillah.
But Mayor Danasiri Amaratungha has revealed some important information, which even our Muslim politicians or the Mosque Federation secretary had not revealed up to now. What is this revelation that the Mayor Danasiri Amaratunga has made:
1. That an application was made in 2001 by a group of Muslims to construct a “SAMAYA PADASAALAI” (MADRASA).
2. Danasiri Amaratungha has further stated that - The Mayor at that time had granted the necessary permission (BUILDING PERMIT) according to the bylaws of the Municipality to construct this “SAMAYA PADASAALAI” (MADRASA) according to the application and the plans submitted.
3. Mayor Danasiri Amaratunga has further stated that – recently a NEW application to RENOVATE and do BUILDING AMENDMENTS to the ORIGINAL “SAMAYA PADASAALAI” (MADRASA) was submitted and Mayor Danasiri Amaratunga has granted the necessary approval (BUILDING PERMIT) to carry on this renovations/building amendments.
THIS MAKES IT VERY SIMPLE FOR US TO UNDERSTAND THE FACT THAT THE DEHIWALA-MT. LAVINIA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL HAD GIVEN A BUILDING PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT ONLY (REPEAT – “ONLY”) A MADRASA AND THE (MAYOR DANASIRI AMARATUNGA) HAS GRANTED A BUILDING PERMIT TO CARRY OUT RENOVATION/BUILDING AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTRUCTED (MADRASA) AT BATHIYA MAWATHA.
What does this mean? The original application WAS NOT MADE TO CONSTRUCT A MOSQUE at Bathiya Mawatha.
When the Buddhist monks/clergy and the Sinhalese residents of the area protested the renovations TURNING into a Mosque, with the matter going to the POLICE, Mayor Danasiri Amaratunga TEMPORARILY WITHDREW/CANCELLED the “RENOVATION” permit for the Madrasa building works.
WHO IS AT FAULT NOW PLEASE? Are we NOT at fault?
If we had applied “TRUTHFULLY” and HONESTLY in 2001 to build a “PLACE OF WORSHIP” at this premises and obtained the Building Permit THEN, today NO ONE COULD HAVE OBJECTED NOW to making the building a BETTER MOSQUE, Insha Allah.
MUSLIM POLITICIANS, MUSLIM MINISTERS, MOSQUE GROUPS MAKING POLITICAL STATEMENTS AT DISCUSSIONS AND TRYING TO DUPE THE MUSLIM JAMATH (Muslim Community), WHICH HAVE NO ADMINISTRATIVE VALUE AT ALL IS NOT THE RIGHT THING IN THE COMMUNITY.
1. Let us be “PRAGMATIC” and REALISTIC,” Insha Allah.
Let all of us NOW submit a NEW RENOVATION APPLICATION WITH PURE BUILDING PLANS TO BUILD A TRUE MOSQUE AT THIS PREMISES AT BATHIYA MAWATHA, Insha Allah.
2. LET US TRY AND FOLLOW THE ADVICE GIVEN BY THE MAYOR TO ENGAGE THE SINHALA BUDDHIST MONKS, SINHALA COMMUNITY, THE POLICE AND DMMC OFFICIALS ENGAGE A COMMUNITY DISCUSSION IN A CORDIAL MANNER AND AMICABLY SETTLE THIS MATTER, Insha Allah.
3. PREVENT GOING TO COURTS ON THIS ISSUE,FOR THE TIME BEING, Insha Allah.

ReplyDeleteNOTE: Look at how the Mosque Lane Mosque “off” Wattarappola Road in Mt. Lavinia took shape without any hindrance from any Buddhist Temples, Buddhist Monks and the DMMC officials or the Sinhalese populated residence in the area, Alhamdulillah. This because the Trustees and the building committee engaged the above CITIZENS cordially, honestly, and following the TRUE principles of Islam.
Long term solution – Insha Allah:
What is needed is that, INSHA ALLAH – all the 175 Mosques in Colombo, Muslim Ministers, Muslim Parliamentarians, Muslim Civil Society Groups, Muslim Religious Organizations, Mosque Alliances, Muslim Academics, Muslim Intellectuals and Muslim politicians should formulate a memorandum to be presented to the Minister of Muslim Cultural Affairs REQUESTING the Minister to SUBMIT a CABINET PAPER REQUESTING PARLIAMENT TO AUTHORIZE SRI LANKA MUSLIMS TO HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT THEIR PLACES OF WORSHIP ADHERING TO THE CIVIL AND ADMINISTRTIVE LAWS AND REGULATIONS OF SRI LANKA AS SPECIFIED WITHIN THE CONSTITUTION. If there are NO such laws in the present Constitution, then, under the proposed Constitutional Reforms, such laws have to be enacted/written under the “SECTION OF RIGHTS as “RELIGIOUS RIGHTS”. Without no malice to Lawyer Shiraz Noordeen’s enthusiasm concerning community issues, it is time up that a NEW POLITICAL FORCE that will be honest and sincere that will produce "CLEAN" and diligent Muslim Politicians to stand up and defend the Muslim Community politically and otherwise, especially from among the YOUTH, has to emerge from within the Sri Lanka Muslim Community to face any above challenges politically through RIGHTFUL legislations adopted in our favour in the coming future, Insha Allah.
