  1. Ibn ‘Uthaymeen on April fools And Its Dangers

    Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymîn:

I warn my Muslim brothers against what some stupid people do when they narrate april jokes. This lie have they taken from the jews, the christians, fire-worshipers (Majûs) and other disbelievers.

Not only is this act a lie, which is in itself forbidden according to the Sharî’ah, it also involves imitating the disbelievers, which is forbidden. The prophet (sallâ Allâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever imitates a people belongs to them.”

    Shaykh-ul-Islâm Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullâh) said:

“Its chain of narration is good.”

The least one could say is that it is forbidden, even if it seemingly entails disbelief.

Together with these two sins, the Muslim becomes humiliated before his enemy. It is generally known that the one who is imitated boasts before the imitator and sees himself as being in front of him. The imitator thus becomes weak so that he imitates him. The believer thusly becomes degraded since he subjugates himself and follows the disbelievers.

The fourth sin is that this filthy lie is often about taking someone else’s money unjustly and scaring the Muslims. They maybe lie and tell the family that they will be having guests. As a result thereof they prepare a great meal and meat and the like. They might also lie and tell them horrifying news of a relative being run over by a car or the like. This is not allowed

  4. جزاك الله خيرا brother Mohamed Rasheed , May allaah bless you and other brothers who share the knowledge based discussion on islamic topic.

Whenever we post or write some thing we should ask ourself why do we do this?, if it is for other than Allaah's sake and to make his deen victorious, then, that will land us in shirk.

Therefore, Allaamah Muhammed ibn Haedee al Mad'halee hafidahullah delevered a beautiful lecture in Madeena for students all over the world especilly USA and U.K. We need to have the following guidelines, in this worldly path to achieve jannah and to be on Sirathal mustaqeem.

    1) Ikhlaas ( Sincerity )
    2) mutaaba'ah (Following the sunnah of prophet Muhammed sallallaahu alahiwasallam.
3)Istiqamah (Hold fast to the deen firmly with your Molar teeth and Not follow ahwa (desires) keep away from Ahlul bid'ah
    4) Tafaqquh (a person cannot be firm in deen if he does not have Fiqh of deen, he need to study and travel to the Trustworthy salaf ulamah who are known for their understanding of deen and piety.

    5) Ittisaal (continuous connection with senior scholars and stick to them and stick to the advise of them) and return to them in times of fitnah.

    5 Advices to the caller:
    1) Make easy, this deen is Easy, Dont make it hard on the people.
    2) Give glad tidings do not scare the People (Story of the man who killed 100 people and given glad tiding of forgiveness)
    3) come together Daa'ees, don't differ, when there's too much differing, people keep away.
    4) Praise and be kind to each other don't differ. Even though in a fiqh masaa'il two daa'ee may differ. Our A'immaah differ in Fiqh issues but they praise each other for their ijtihaad.

    5) Daa'ees they obey each other. Work together, see eye to eye. Between them there's tawassul - communication.
